Title vs hook

The title drives the click in search/feed. The hook is the opening line. This tool checks the title — use the Hook Analyzer for the opening line.

Title vs the winners

Compare your title with the ones that won.

We find the videos on your topic that got far more views than their own channel usually gets, show what their titles do that yours doesn't, and rewrite it with their structure.

Real winners

Titles from your niche that beat their channel's median views.

Measured differences

Length, numbers, first person and format — counted, not guessed.

Rewrites

Three versions that borrow a winning structure, same video.

How it works

Three steps. One package that's ready to publish.

  1. Paste the title

The working title you plan to publish. Add a niche if you want the rewrites to use its language.

  2. Compared with real winners

We place the title in a niche and compare it with videos there that beat their own channel's median views. An AI editor writes the critique with those videos in front of it.

  3. Pick a stronger version

Read the main weakness, then copy the improved title or one of three alternative angles.

What you get

Every field in a Title Analyzer report.

Verdict
Ready to publish, one change first, or rework the angle — with the reason, pointing at a real video or a counted difference.
Your title vs the winners
Length, numbers, first person, questions and caps — counted across the niche's outliers and shown next to your title.
Title formats
Which measured format your title uses (and how those videos did), and which formats the niche's winners use that you don't.
The winners themselves
Up to six real videos with their channel, views and how many times their channel's median they reached.
Improved title and alternatives
A fixed version plus three alternatives, each naming the structure it borrows.

Method

Real data in. Clear fixes out.

AI judgement

A sharp editor's read with the reason attached, so you know exactly what to change.

  • The verdict, the main gap, the rewrites and the reasons — written by AI from the comparison below them.

Measured or computed

Hard numbers from real YouTube data.

  • Every number: the winners' views and multiples, and each counted difference between their titles and yours.
  • Which niche the title belongs to is chosen by AI from our tracked niches; with too few videos there, all niches are used and it says so.

FAQ

Title Analyzer questions

How does the YouTube Title Analyzer work?

It places your title in a niche and compares it with real videos in that niche that got far more views than their own channel usually gets. You see the measured differences (length, numbers, first person, title format) next to those videos, then an AI critique that points at them and three rewrites that borrow their structure. There is no made-up 0-100 score.

What makes a strong YouTube title?

Strong titles combine clarity (the viewer immediately understands the value), curiosity gap (an unanswered question that creates a reason to click) and appropriate length (60–70 characters for full display). Keyword placement in the first half of the title also improves discoverability.

How long should a YouTube title be?

YouTube displays roughly 60–70 characters of a title in most feed contexts before truncating. Titles under 60 characters are typically displayed in full. Longer titles may still perform well if the key promise appears in the first half.

Why is there no title score?

Because no tool can measure a title's click-through rate before it is published, and a number from a keyword list or an AI guess only looks precise. What can be measured is how your title differs from titles that already won on your topic, so that is what the analyzer shows.

Can I analyze a title before publishing?

Yes — that is what the tool is designed for. Paste any working title before the video is uploaded and see how it compares with the winners on your topic, plus 3 alternative titles. You do not need a published or even a finished video.

How is this different from SEO keyword tools?

SEO keyword tools optimize titles for YouTube search ranking — keyword volume and competition. The Title Analyzer optimizes for packaging — clarity, curiosity gap and click intent. A title can rank well and still have weak packaging, or have strong packaging and still be weak on keyword targeting. Both dimensions matter.
