What's Trending on YouTube This Week (Oct 5–Oct 12, 2026)

4,893 sampled public uploads: observed lifetime views, eligible channel comparisons and descriptive title patterns, with source times and limits.

This sample contains 4,893 public videos published Oct 5–Oct 12, 2026, selected from collected charts and tracked channels. 2094 have a known duration over three minutes, 2799 are three minutes or shorter, and 0 have unavailable duration. Duration alone does not identify YouTube Shorts.

Stored view counts were checked between 2026-10-11T18:31:50.358Z and 2026-10-12T16:03:54.137Z. This is a sample of up to 20,000 recent records, not all uploads on YouTube. Counts are lifetime views at different video ages, not views gained during this week. Source and age differences can affect every ranking below.

Highest observed views: videos over three minutes

Highest observed views: videos up to three minutes

Above the sampled channel median

These comparisons use separate public reads of up to 50 recent channel uploads. Each target is excluded from its baseline of at least five other videos over three minutes, each at least seven days old. This is not an age-matched comparison and does not prove why a video received views. Promotional titles and ratios outside 3–100× are excluded; this is a curated reference list.

Highest observed hourly change in recent uploads

Rates come from two public view-count checks, over intervals between 15 minutes and 24 hours; the latest check is at most six hours old. This is an interval average, not a real-time rate or forecast. Videos without a usable interval are omitted.

Title patterns in this sample

The highest-viewed group contains 100 videos over three minutes. The full comparison group contains 2094 and includes that group. These are descriptive, overlapping samples. Differences do not establish statistical significance, causation or a reliable advantage for your next upload.

Recorded chart coverage across countries

Country labels accumulate across collection checks. They do not mean these videos charted simultaneously or remain on those charts now.

Most recorded country labels in this sample: Japan (439), Germany (433), US (421), France (410), Brazil (410). One video can contribute to several countries.

How to use these references

  • Choose references close to your topic and audience; a high view count alone does not explain the result.
  • Use the title table to form a hypothesis, then test one packaging change against your own baseline.
  • Use your own YouTube Studio data to assess impressions, CTR and retention. None of those private metrics are measured here.

How we measured this

The collector reads public YouTube charts for 15 configured countries and uploads of tracked channels. This report selects videos published Oct 5–Oct 12, 2026 with non-negative public view counts checked within 24 hours before 2026-10-12T16:49:37.820Z. Invalid, future, stale and duplicate records are excluded. Unknown duration stays unavailable. Rankings are lifetime snapshots; channel comparisons are optional, separately checked, limited to 15 candidate channels, and omit unavailable targets. Text and tables are generated from these rules without AI-created metrics or causal claims. Public data only; no private CTR or retention is available.
